Transylvanian Saxon Painted Hope chest-1898
Old restored dowry chest. He comes from a household Saxon Cristian, Brasov and was made in 1898 for a certain Catarine Kimper written as it appears on the back of crates. The wood was kept in excellent condition. Painting was not in good condition, so they started to strengthen existing painting and then to fill the gaps and completing missing parts, trying to reach initial finding tonal painting. He respected old technique of tempera emulsion finally old wood being "fed" with linseed oil. No paint or other substances used for synthesis.
